Breaking Bread Kitchen Annual Spring Cleaning Event: February 27th is set up as the Saturday to shine up the kitchen and get it ready for the coming year’s meals and ministry. Every weekday at 5:30 p.m. Midlanders in need line up for home-cooked meals and to hear the Gospel. Volunteers are needed to move equipment and give the entire place a good cleaning. The cleaning day begins at 8:30 a.m. and everyone can be utilized for a couple of hours or all day – their choice.

This Sunday we had 52 kids sign up and put their deposit down for EQ Camp 2010. Camp is filling up fast so if your child wants to attend camp this year you might want to get them signed up this weekend.

We are extremely excited to inform you that it is time to reserve your spot for EXTREMEQUEST 2010. EXTREMEQUEST is Stonegate’s Children’s Camp FOR GRADUATING 4^th & 5^th GRADERS. [Graduating 6^th Graders will be attending SGY camp with 7^th & 8^th Graders, June 6 to June 11.] The dates for this year’s EXTREMEQUEST are Monday, June7th to Saturday, June 12th. Again this year, Stonegate has reserved the entire camp facility at Fort Lone Tree Children’s Camp in Capitan, New Mexico. This allows us to take up to a maximum of 100 students.

We selected Fort Lone Tree due to its high quality amenities, great activities, and affordable rates. Along with great Bible teaching, activities available for students at Fort Lone Tree include:

§ Horseback Riding

§ 24 foot Rock Wall

§ A Mountain Water Slide

§ Riflery, Archery, Rodeo

§ & the ZIP LINE!!

The total cost of camp, including transportation, lodging, EQ T-Shirt, activities, food, and a camp photo is $200.00. Also included this year we are adding a stop at the Smokey Bear Museum on our way to the camp. We expect each attendee to earn a portion of their trip by completing 4 volunteer hours in evangelistic and service projects. Each student is expected to complete their volunteer hours at a Christian Ministry (such as Breaking Bread Kitchen or the Baptist Crisis Center) or a community agency (such as the Red Cross, a hospital or Nursing Home.) It is the responsibility of the student to find ways to complete their service hours and turn them in on a note card signed by someone from the organization you did your hours with, or a parent.

In order to ensure that your child has a reserved spot at EXTREMEQUEST, please submit the $50 Deposit either at Stonemart or the church office. We will begin accepting deposits/payments on Sunday, February 14, 2010. Once we have received your deposit you will be given a registration form and your child will need to submit a FORT LONE TREE/STONEGATE HEALTH HISTORY FORM by May 23rd. It is a requirement of Fort Lone Tree that each child completes a Doctor’s Physical OR submits a copy of a physical which was completed in the last twenty-four months.

Registration forms and all camp monies can be turned in at STONEMART (in the church foyer) or at the Stonegate Office. Spaces are extremely limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so please turn in your $50 Deposit AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. (WARNING: EXTREMEQUEST has sold out quickly the last several years – So, please reserve your spot ASAP!!)
